Papa Rein is Rein Järvelill — a Seto musician from Estonia, drummer of the band Tuhkwizza, songwriter and producer. Island Pulse: Wave & Fire was composed using AI music tools and produced, mixed and mastered at Kullamäe Productions.
The vision, the concept, the sound world — those are human. The tools are new.
This album grows from a deep love of reggae, world music, and the space between rhythm and silence. It moves from cosmic meditation to tribal fire, from ocean breeze to the pulse you feel in your chest — ten tracks that take you somewhere.
Side A opens in the cosmos — Echo Inna Di Sky floats between rhythm and space, Stars Shine Inside Me turns inward, Drum Call From Da Earth grounds everything in tribal percussion and ritual fire. Laugh Loud, Live Free Now lifts the energy into pure joy. No Worries, Just Vibes lets it breathe back to the ocean.
Side B moves through water and light — Wave After Wave flows hypnotically, Digital Breeze Flow Slow drifts between digital space and island warmth. Sun Still Shine Tomorrow rises into hope. Fire Dance Round Da Night burns into communal heat and chant. Island Pulse Inna Mi Chest closes the album where it began — with the drum, the pulse, the body.
This is not background music. It is music for late nights, deep rooms, sound systems, and the space between moving and stillness.
The album is designed to be listened to in full — Side A first, then Side B, without interruption. That is what the vinyl format asks of you. That is also what this music deserves.
Made on demand means no warehouse, no minimum order, no waste. Each copy is pressed individually after you order it — which is why this edition costs more than a mass-pressed record.
It is also why it exists at all. Without this model, an independent musician in Estonia could not release a physical reggae album.
I am a Seto musician from Estonia. I play drums in a band called Tuhkwizza. I write songs in Seto, a small Finno-Ugric language spoken by a few thousand people near the Russian border.
And I make reggae. With AI.
Island Pulse: Wave & Fire was composed using Suno, an AI music generation tool. I wrote the concepts, the moods, the arrangement directions. The AI generated the sonic material. I produced, mixed and mastered everything at Kullamäe Productions, my home studio in Estonia.
The vision, the concept, the sound world — those are human. The tools are new.
I released it on vinyl because vinyl asks something of the listener that streaming does not. When you put on a record, you choose a side. You sit with it. You stay. Island Pulse was made for exactly that kind of attention.
Made on demand means no warehouse, no minimum order, no leftover copies. Each record is pressed when someone orders it. I am not a label. I am one musician, one studio, one project. If this music speaks to you, buying the vinyl is the most direct way to support it.
